Milagro Rodríguez Reyes develops her deep interest in English and French at the School of Modern Languages of Universidad Central de Venezuela receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Translation in 2012. Her professional career in languages begins earlier teaching English and French at all levels from elementary school to in-company programmes. In 2012 she goes to France as Spanish Assistant at the Dijon Academy. This experience encourages her to take a Master’s in Foreign Languages Applied to Business which allows her to hold a position as in-house translator. Passionate about the multicolouredness of languages and cultures, she is equally commited to teaching, translating, and writing. 

María Alejandra Millán Betancourt  holds a degree in law with the Magna Cum Laude distinction [2000] and in translation [2010]. After experiencing around law teaching and researching in her alma mater for a few years, she starts her career path as a freelance translator in 2009. In 2014 she also gets to know translation editing and on the same year she becomes a sworn translator in English in Venezuela. Everything that surrounds translation captivates her, yet she has so far specialized in scientific, technical, and legal translation—a world in which her two loves coexist. For this lawyer-turned-translator, to be among those who are able to show the beauty of law and legal translation would be a dream come true. Quite simply, she has always in mind that law makes us civilized societies and to translate it globalizes us.
